Hleb - Missing the good old days...
Alexander Hleb has reveealed he deeply regrets his decision to leave Arsenal. Arsenal fans knew from the start he would hardly get to play in the star studded Barcelona side but Hleb didn’t realise that until he moved to Nou Camp.
He got what he primarily went for i.e trophies. But winning trophies while sitting on the bench isn’t something that pleases the Belarussian international. The former Gunner admitted in an emotional interview that he would love to play again for Arsenal but it’s too late now:
“When you mostly sit on the bench, winning titles brings very little joy, while getting to the last eight of the Champions League with Arsenal was unforgettable.
“I regret my move from London, but unfortunately nothing can be done about it now
“For me, Wenger was like a father. I consider him one of the best managers in the world.
“For such a boss one wants to die on the pitch. Arsene managed to create a smashing team with a wonderful atmosphere inside of it.
“I have no doubts that if Arsenal had the same budget as Barcelona, the Gunners would be among the three best clubs on the planet.”
So Gooners can all laugh at the greedy guy now! He is probably off to Inter Milan now so lets hope he earns some more experience of warming the bench. First in Spain, now in Italy. Good luck to Hleb!

Man don’t be so pessimistic. Adebayor’s gone but Eduardo and Rosicky are back. Bendtner will be great this season I am sure. Hopefully, in case Wenger doesn’t buy a new holding midfielder, Song or Denilson can do what Flamini did in his last season at Arsenal. There’s still hope for us! I am confident we can at least win one trophy this year…

C’mon guys, I can’t stand Hleb but it takes guts to admit you’ve made a mistake so let’s not gloat. We are the Arsenal and are supposed to exude class so let’s say thanks and move on. I just hope that other players who think of moving on in the future read what he has said and listen to the warning.
Keep it Goonerish

Hleb was a great great player for us.
You can’t really begrudge him for moving to arguably the greatest team in the world.
All us gooners knew what would happen when he got there!
But if the player wants to go, the player has to go. Simple!
Same with Ade!
One leaves, another one steps up to the platter!
Lets just hope the next one to step up can score more than 1 times out of 10!

I actually feel like crying for him unfortunately for him we don’t need someone like him now.
I wish him good luck and hope Wenger can learn how to make his player want to play for him and not for money.

I don´t understand what´s he´s complaining about… he didn´t even score a single goal,,not even in friendlies or against 3rd division teams….and yet he complains that he was given minutes….
Did he pretend to play instead of Messi, Eto´o or Henry ???? no way…
Guardiola is a great coach,,very motivating for the players,,,he didn´t even make an effort to integrate with his team mates…didn´t learn a word of spanish…. what else did he want ???
Thanks Alex anyway…and good luck at Inter,,,,
