chamakh_marouaneBordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has attracted interest from a trio of Premier League clubs namely Arsenal, Sunderland and Blackburn. Arsenal are considered to be front runners to sign the Morroccon international as Chamakh himself admitted it would be a dream come to true to play for Arsenal.

He has identified Arsenal as his first choice club but if the deal fails to go through he would not mind moving to either Sunderland or Blackburn.

“If it happens with them (Arsenal) it’s great, otherwise it does not bother me to play for Sunderland or Blackburn.”

He seemed as Wenger’s first choice as well as Wenger had stated he would look for Chamakh if Adebayor leaves. Adebayor has now moved to Manchester City but despite that Wenger said they are not close to signing anyone at the moment. But he also added there is the money to spend if they find the right player.

One thing is for sure though that Chamakh will leave Bordeaux this summer. And as stated above, it would be to Arsenal if Wenger actually wants him. He said “I will go, even if the manager and the club officials want me to stay.”
