One of Arsenal’s main problems last season was their defence. And now with the uncertainity surrounding the futures of first choice centre backs Kolo Toure and William Gallas, the defence surely needs new recruits.
One of them seems to be Ajax Captain Thomas Vermaelen. The other could be Arsenal’s on-loan defender Phillipe Senderos. But Senderos’s return seems quite unlikely. The defender feels first team opportunities will be limited for the Gunners and hence he wants to stay in Italy:
“It depends on Arsenal. I want to continue at Milan, because I cannot see a place for me with the Gunners.”
It’s quite a lame excuse because he only managed 12 appearances for AC Milan!

If he doesnt want to come back, and there is no willing buyer???? He is not the solution anyway. I doubt if he will make the arsenal team considering that he hasnt played much in the last season.
